if you are going to black out the area not lit by the bulbs, you might as well do the small 194 on the outer tail as well to bring some balance to it... i don't know about you, but that bulb burns out all the time on my cars, so why not just eliminate it and tint that area as well...

i pulled the 194's out of my tails a long time ago, never use em. now from far away she looks like a vette at night from a distance

Lonnie: just keep an eye on em, mine fade about every 2-3 months and gotta keep redoing them to keep them nice with VHT

That's why I clear coated mine with like 3 or 4 coats...they shouldn't fade, but if they do that is a plus because I went to dark....lol

good point, mines just vht, no clear. i did about 3 coats and stuck em in the oven for 20 mins at 100*
