Performance Upgrades
Im looking improve the speed of my car. Im not a track guy, I just want to get the most out of my car. I just want to know what would show noticeable improvements in my performance for a reasonable price. I'd be willing to spend around $1500 on said upgrades. So im basically wondering what would be a good start.

Depends on how much you really know about engines and if you're going to be doing it yourself. You could start with simple bolt-ons like a cold air intake, headers and exhaust and then work your way to ported intake manifolds and ported cylinder heads.
For $1500 you could do the intake, exhaust and headers. If you know your way around an engine, a performance package is also an option:

Well then start with simple bolt-ons and work your way up.. If you haven't already, purchase a haynes manual or equivalent. There's much to learn in those books and it may boost your confidence on what you can and can not do.
Edit:
For headers, you have 3 options. Pacesetter headers, Milzy Motorsports headers and WOT-Tech headers which are unfortunately not available for purchase at the moment.
For exhaust you can get a bolt-on borla system made for the pontiac grand am which fits our cars just fine since it's on the same platform. You can also go custom. Popular choices on here are flowmaster and magnaflow.
If you want a cold air intake, buy a 3 piece set with a K&N filter off of ebay.

There are about 80 threads about this....always with the same answers....intake, headers, cat back exhaust. Thats all you need to do for some noticeable power. Use the search button

I may have a set of pacesetter headers and other performance parts for sale soon. they will be used but in good shape, therefore greatly discounted.
