i plan on driving to mass this friday (240 MILES) safe to do with my alternator acting up like this ?

I can't understand how you have the money to do all that stuff to the car, but when the car NEEDS something, you put it off. Alternator is cheaper than the stuff you are doing and WAY cheaper than a tow truck.

haha i know. just so reluctant on spending the money on something off track. Just gonna have my parents give me the $$ for that since it was a problem the car came with. i also put of that drive because of the no answers

partstrain.com thier stuff lasts a good while its where I bought my fuel pump for 80$ brand new and works great I put it in about 10,000 miles ago though

Future mods are going turbo charged, paint, new exhaust system, converting rear brakes to discs, and hopefully a 6-speed tranny swap. Not exactly in that order.

i got my stock one beefed up to 195amp output for just under $150. might want to see if there are any shop by you that do alternator work, could be cheaper.

lol not at all im 19 and have to work for everything. I thought they MIGHT pay for it since it was a problem that came with the car when they bought it for me but i thought wrong. Oh well ill pay for it myself

Good news. Worked extra hours this week just to pay for this shit lol.
will be buying the alternator from guiguilandry & my lowering springs from marcfortier71 this Friday
QUESTION: how difficult is it to install new springs ? same with alternator. any guides on here ?

springs i'd suggest a shop to do it cause of the fact they have to go on a strut

even with a spring compressor and a friend who just changed his springs? (he has a civic and just changed his for the first time 2 weeks ago). stock struts are being reused btw if that makes any difference. I have no idea about this stuff

if your friend did it and he feels confident to do it again then that's a good idea

if the new springs are lowing, plan a revisit soon. struts wont hold up for crap.

really ? im at about 48.5k miles right now and posted before asking if it would be alright to use my stock struts for a month or so on these springs just so i can get the $$ for them and i got yes answers
