woj99: the mounts for the transmission are higher grade material then polyurethane mounts. besides that. all other mounts are stock. ever since the swap my car doesnt wheel hop anymore. ther tires just spin nicely.
jawa: yeah im using a 67 mustang right now to get around. be jelous!
but on a side note, milzy had the axle modified different then how some other guy did it over on gagt. basically stock g6 axle is a 1/4 inch to long so it needs trimmed before put in. what milzys axle guy did was cut the shaft in half, cut a 1/4 off and then welded it back together... well i snapped islt right on his weld. so the axle guys weld failed.
when i get the new axle i will be modifying js (pretty simple) and hopefully shes on thr road soon.l

^Sweeeeet. BTW NOT COOL messing with us in that first post. lol. You're lucky it's something easy. My car has been down for almost 5 months I got it back finally....but then something in the suspension is screwy (might be something loose...idk) and then i saw a coolant leak...coming out of the timing cover....guess it wasn't a good idea to put RTV silicone on the gasket...i worried it would leak if i didn't get a new one so we did that....we made sure we got around the coolant holes good...guess not good enough. I don't trust it in the long term either....so it's prob gonna have get to taken off and a new gasket put on....which i cant do cause it will take too long so i have to pay a shop and he's on vacation for like 2 weeks which NEVER happens...lol...so tonight i'm prob gonna have to pick it up and bring it somewhere else. So annoyed /rant lol.

its a decently easy fix... now that i kinda know what im doing about modifying the axle a 1/4 inch shorter, i dont want to do the job. so now im looking for someone to do it for me. cause this axle is 100$ and i dont feel like effing it up. looking around on google atm for a place to go.
sounds like a tough time man, we are getting closer and closer to ass. it better make it. hopefully i can find a place that will do my axle tomorrow. cause i need the car thursday. (honestly should take em 30 mins to an hr to complete the job) so hoping for the best. really hope i can get it out for thanksgiving.

looks more like to me you snapped the shaft right at the snap-ring the holds the CV joint together. that would be a natural weakspot i would think anyways.

right, you cant tell from the pics, but where it snapped there was beads from welds that you could tell it was welded back together. i didnt mean cut in straight in half, sorry should have been more clear, it was cut right by that snap ring, and welded.

just like how tim explains it over on gagt. here is what he says to do, all though i wish he included pictures, but he didnt..
"Another, kind of major last change I did today, you know how I was worried about the driver's side axle being slightly too long, my worries weren't for nothing. My dad and I check on it today, it didn't have any room to move what so ever, and 1st and 2nd gear was aweful hard to shift into today. Well it was pushing on this differential so , I pulled off the outboard CV, it's got a snap ring on the inside of the CV, so you basically put the axle in a vice, and use a blunt object (1/2 inch dive extension works great) and hammer and hit the CV at the inner most part couple good times and it comes right off. Cut off the chamfered tip of the shaft (about 1/4 inch) right up to the spline you can round the corners some, and using a dremel cut a new ring grove 1/4" closer to the inner tripod (closer to the end that goes into the transmission). Make sure the ring grove is deep enough so that the snap ring has room to collapse when insirting into the CV.
make sure to put it back together with grease, autozone sells CV boot straps that work great to reassmble the CV (not the ones with a screw, but one time use kind)"

yeah, it would be easier if the axle didnt have to be modified. im going to a shop tomorrow after i pick up the axle to see if they can do the job for me. its gonna be a longgg night/day. work from 1030 pm to 7 am tonight, then axle comes in between 11am-1pm wed, then gotta run to the axle place. and hopefully install the axle, then thanksgiving at 1pm thurs. fuuuuu

3rd shifter, I know what it's like.
I've been on 2nd ofr about 4 years steady now. I work OT so I'm working 4pm to 4am, then I don't get up until 1PM and it leaves me no time to get big stuff done
