I was thinking about getting a header and the 4 2 1 from rksport looks great, but it says j-body only. I know i've heard you can but i wanna do it myself and dont wanna have to worry about cuttin something here and there and messin with a whole bunch of other bs. and i just wanna be able to buy it and do it myself without happening to spend a poop load of money. so if there is a better deal than this with the great look of the 4 2 1 i'm interested.

i have the rk sport header it`s a direct bolt up
the only modification you have to do is to the rear of the craddle
i took my tourch and heated up the back of it and slowly beat the rear of it down
the craddle on the j-body and the n-body are different
i love that header allot of power and tourqe out of it
and stick with the factory cat no need for a high flow at all

yeah man since not many people make stuff for our cars everything will most likely be custom, my intake was amde for a J-body and i had to cut teh brackets off of it, thats just the way it goes.

i rather have the rksport header but 450 is steep. so i was thinking pacesetter or weapon r, or maybe dcsports or injen when they get them in stock. does anyone have any suggestions?

the rk sport sounds really deep and throaty when it warm`s up it mellows out
i too have 2 1/2 inch pipe but into a oem cat no need for a high flow at all
don`t worry you won`t sound like a honda

ok...........why would the coating of the header make a difference??? maybe you can explain it
it`s a bit of a pain in the ass to get the header to pass by the firewall but once ya got it in not to bad
if ya buy the rk sport header you will have to heat up and bend the rear of the engine cradle the collector hit`s the craddle amd makes a bad real bad rattling noise
keep the front part of the exhaust on so you can bolt back up the header
it`s just time consuming
