Screen

I recently purchased a new screen and on the VGA input setting for a computer it shows the background but not fully bright and I don't mean the brightness setting. I messed with settings over and over. Now the regular video input works fine. I played playstation off of it last night. Any ideas? I have only one guess...I ran the VGA input off of my laptop which lowest setting is 800x600 but this screen needs 640x480. I still don't think that should effect the color. Plus like I said I could see the screen even on 800x600 just the brightness was not there. Any suggestions ?

Try the cables, when we installed my buddies ps2 in his avenger, it was like that and it was bad cables.

Did it look like it was monochromatic? Like all I can see on the VGA input is black and bluish colors.

Looked at the internals..something I can fix but would rather send back i thiink. One wire is cut and it on the chip connector so i know its meant to be there

? is...since you took it apart, are they going to fix it??? You better check with them before you send it in...

From the sounds of things, if they won't even reply, they probably are not going to accept it after you cracked it open...good luck man.

Well..they dont know and from what I can tell this thing doesn't look new. Plus I checked for a tamper evident device. Ebay purchase so paypal should defend me...if all in all fails...I know what is missing but would have to ask someone for some help on it since it is a delicate connector
