Well if your having a shop do the work or are handy enough heres my advice.

If your upgrading the fronts do it right. Ditch the poor designed 4x6 speakers and step up to a 5.25". If you go components pop the tweeters in the sail panels.

Now if you will be running a subwoofer, DONT get 6x9's. Rather than that, pull them out and leave the holes open. This ports the trunk to the cabin.

Amplify the front speakers. This makes a WORLD of difference in itself. It will make the sound much richer, fuller and accurate.

Memphis is good. Im sure its their big seller. I wouldnt just buy the first thing, I would audition a few speakers then make a choice.

A very powerful piece of advice: You get what you pay for!

im just wanting to replace my blown factory speakers im not really wanting to go all out right now (cant really afford to yet). plus my subs arent even hooked up right now since my amp quit working. also i spend about three hour a week driving my car right now, not looking for a major upgrade yet.

I can't say for sure how that model of speakers sound but I am sure they are fine. I have the 4x6 and 6x9 M class coaxials hooked to the deck without an amp and they sound wonderful. They are very clear and don't get drowned out by the 2 12's, for me they are the best I needed and couldn't be happier.
