Brand of Sunroof

Hi.
I have a 3.4 L Alero GLS sedan and am thinking about putting a aftermarket sunroof in my car. I'm not familiar with good brands, and was wondering what would be the best bang for the buck.

either you got duped, or the previous owner opted to not have a sunroof cuz GLS came with a sunroof...

anywho...I forget who posted where, but somebody did put on an aftermarket sunroof and it came out good. (sorry I can't be much more help, but that should give you some hope...use and abuse the search button.)

The previous owner put an aftermarket sunroof in my alero and it is a POS! There are no water leaks, only a high pitch whine like a kettle when I drive faster than 60KPH. It is not adjustable or identifiable, so I am still working on a remedy.

If you must have a sunroof, find a reputable installer, and spend the money to do it right! Take my situation as a example of "You get what you pay for"

If it were me I'd be happy without a sunroof.

I do not have any names on hand, but there are some good companies that have near OEM type sunroofs available.

Good luck with your search! let us know how you make out!

My personal preforance is for an OEM sunroof.

Actually I would not buy a car with an aftermarket sunroof. They really do suck that bad!

American Sunroofs Inalfa. Its who makes our factory sunroofs. They gave me a sunroof and I never had any leaks. Just make sure your installer knows wtf he's doin.

classic soft trim would be the place that I would recommend. WE used them at my old dealership for many sunroofs and never had an issue with them at all.

No, it doesn't, unfortunately, have a sunroof that is. The previous owner (only a total of two owners including me) must not have wanted it. I was a little disappointed about it too. I probably won't keep the car for much longer though, as it has only been a complete lemon for me.

How do you tell what kind of car you want? When I saw the Oldsmobile site, my car ended up having a mix of everything.

For the most part, the sunroof (RPO: CF5) was only available with the Sun and Sound package (RPO: PCR) which was not standard equipment.
