Stupid creeking noise!

Ok more of is this a common issue and what is it?

My front drives side makes a creeking noise. My brake caliper on that side started making a creeking noise only when you press the brakes. I replaced the caliper getting rid of the noise. Now whenever I press the brakes, no creeking noise. So Im fairly confident its not that.

Since ASS Ive been getting this noise. Its gotten worse... Its when I turn the car, but mainly when Im turning and theres a bump or pot hole. Basically anytime the strut has to function.

Is it a tie rod end, strut, strut mount or something else???

I want to fix it before winter.

Mine has done that for like 2 years I just deal with it... they have a thread about this issue somewhere... I think you have to grease something if I remember correctly ...

Well over the last week it started making another lovely noise.

"TWUNG"

Sounds like the front sway bar/stabilizer.

WTF.

Im going to TRY and look at it today, even though I have no money to fix it. At least I hope to find what the real issue is so I can buy parts next week...

Ok this damned thing is really starting to piss me off.

Ive replaced the drivers side caliper. It works and moves freely/properly.

Ive replaced the Struts with brand new everything.

Still making noise. When the car is at rest, if I turn the wheel back and forth a bit it make a noise like a bad ball joint. I think the front bushing may be wore out also. Not to mention the transmission mount is shot- would explain why my motor "hops" and makes my dash "hop" when I floor it and she grabs...

My POS Alero just started creaking also on the Drivers side!!! It brake related as it only happens when I apply the brakes.I alreasdy lubed the Caliper Piston with My own mix, so I am thinking it is the pads & I will apply some anti squeel on the backs to see if that helps.

if you jack up the front end, wheels of the ground, and turn the steering wheel back and forth, does it make the creaking noise?

Just browsing and came across this. I had that same problem with mine a few years ago. GM sells what's called Kluber oil I think it is. It comes in a tiny little tube. You have to drizzle it behind the rubber boot on the caliper so it gets in and around the piston. That fixed mine.

Sounds like the upper strut bearing. It'll start twangin because the bearing is causing the spring to wind up. I think the bearing plate is binding. It could also be your ball joints. I know if they get bad they'll make a hell of a racket.
