Reception help
ok this is my situation, a while back my radio was working fine then all of a sudden the reception went bad. reception is in and out. i looked it up like crazy on the search button. i replaced the radio module under the back c-pillar thinking it was that but receptions still bad. went to front passenger where reception wires are connected to see if they were loose, nope they were connected too. i read something about connecting the remote wire to antenna wire but i dunno alot about wiring and was wondering if you guys could see anything that looks wrong or not connected properly from the pic i attached. o and cds work fine, its just radio.

well, for one thing, take you aftermarket harness out and wrap the whole thing in electrical tape to it looks good and doesn't have a bunch of wires all over the place.
for your problem, the aftermarket harnesses don't tell you to hook up the power antenna to the radio booster wire. i forget what wire it is up front, but i just went to the module behind the passenger c-pillar and tapped a 12v hot with key into the power wire. day and night difference.
btw, whats the peripheral electronics module for?
*edit* nevermind, you spent the money for the chime module i guess.

There was also that "duct tape" fix for behind passenger side kick panel they may be connect but still loose, and apparently wrappig with ductape helps...i dunno.......also if you tinted your rear window thats gonna cause it to go. or spend the mosny and have a euro type antenna like a fuba or off brand..its a power amplified one. I have one and that works good.

tinting won't affect it too much. and the passenger kick panel thing doesn't happen to often, its just when the antenna wire from the rear booster comesout of a connector there. 99% of the time the power booster doesn't get hooked up with aftermarket, cause the instructions don't say to.

Ah I thought it was common, because the day I had tint put on, I lost just about all reception, I got 1 channel and it was only good in some areas.
My other car also has the rear window antenna and it has the rear window tinted and I get a little better reception but still not what I should have for the Baltimore area

^it depends what type of tint. some tints have aluminum in them, so it hinders reception some. and other tints don't.
