HID Fog Light Question
Alright, so I just ordered a 5000K HID kit for lo/hi beams. I really want my fog lights to be the same light color (idiosyncrasy), so do I just buy the 894 HID 5000K bulbs, or do I have to buy a whole other kit?

the main reason why HIDs are so much better, is the ballast is altering the power output. Without a ballast, its not HID.
You definitely can't just buy the bulbs.

Okay, now I understand... so, the bulbs I have in the link are going to (theoretically) be the same color as the 5000K HIDs I ordered? I just want them to match HID fog lights are not high on my list, I just want to have the same color coming out of all my lights!

If these halogen bulbs will really emit the same light color / temperature as your HID is questionable.
I say, try it. Worst could be that they have a little more of a yellow tint.
But if visibility is on your concern, as fog lights, having a yellow tint is a good thing.
Snow / Fog doesnt sparkle.

well if the bulb doesnt have the same amount of power that the ballast puts out the bulb wont get up to the right temp and it wont look the same right?

The ballast is needed for real HID lights.
But these are halogen bulbs, they work with the usual 12V.
The ballast / igniter is used by HID lights to "push up" the voltage. 20k or something.
He might be lucky to get color he needs from these bulbs.

The color might look right and match up to your HID, but it gonna look slightly different still b/c its not gonna be near as bright. Actually it'll be very noticeably less light out on the road from the fogs but if your just going for looks o well.
