looking at new 6x9s

the ones i have in my car right now are shitty $20 speakers, just to replace the blown ones the car had when i got it. now im looking for some good 6x9s to run on the stock h.u. also its not monsoon audio so there's no amp.

does anyone have an opinion on these? http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-TS-A69...1553422&sr=1-3

if not what 6x9s do you guys reccomend?

Go for alpine. Type S are pretty good. Personally I have the type R but they are made to be amped, depends on how you want to go with it. Kenwood exlon speakers aren't bad either (just strait kenwoods or regular alpine suck) and of course there are kickers. They are crossed of lower so have more of a chance to blow but are still a good speaker. For a bit of a cheaper but still good speaker jl audio isn't bad.

I have amped Infinity Kappa's in the back and they hit pretty good. Altho, if your going for moar power, go for something like American Bass

I blew my set of kappas after 2 months. If you have the older style they will last forever, but a few years ago they switched to a Bose type crossover, they still sound great, and like you said, hit hard, but you miss a lot high and low ends in your music, and they just can't take the punishment without distorting/blowing. the overall best speaker iv personally heard in all aspects has been the alpine type R's, but as mentioned up there ^ rockfords are good to, iv never saw a bad review of them but haven't got to test them out myself. But seeing as how you'll be running them with the stock headunit I'd drop some type S 2-ways in the back.

If you want something cheap but sounds better than your factory speakers go with this: http://www.amazon.com/JVC-CS-HX6947X.../dp/B00152SW0W
