For the past 2 weeks, I've been having problems with my car starting. It would hesitate really bad but it would always start. I took it to an Advance here on 9/28 to have the battery checked and they said it was a good battery, even though it was the stock one that had been on there since 2001. I get to Myrtle Beach last week and it is running like crap so I have it checked again on Thursday at another Advance Auto. The guy said it was only pushing like 18 volts. (Not sure the exact number but I think that was it) Anyway, they checked the alternator and it was fine. So, $70.12 later I get a new battery and it started running a lot smoother. My heater and ac have kinda been on the fritz since getting the new battery. In order to get any air thru the vents at all, I have to turn it up to the forth notch. I've checked the fluids, everything is ok. The ac will freeze your balls off (if you have any lol) and the heater will burn you up so what could be the problem? Btw, for those that do not know, it's a 01 2.4 and the current mileage is 61,250. I was due for an oil change shortly after I left for vacation but I didn't get it changed until yesterday. I thought maybe it was just the air filter but still even after having all that changed out, and checking the battery cables, it still doesn't work unless I crank it up to the forth notch. Also the SES light is on. I'm kinda wishing I had bought the extended warranty but I didn't. Any ideas or help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
