looks like a nice find, but anyone want to clue the car noob into what a nice throttle body will do for performance?
my guess is it is stronger to take the abuse that supercharges and nos crank out and bigger holes meaning more pressure build up for a stronger push?

uhhhh i'll give it to you plain and simple.
the more air through that throttle body, the more power you get.
(kinda)
or basically........the bigger the hole's / ports the more air you can get in.

^^true, but for any engine, drawing in more air is pointless if you don't have the proper means to get rid of it. Combine that TB with an A/M exhaust system, Hi-Pro Cat, headers, and i THINK boring the UIM to 75 to match the TB............i'm not sure what numbers you can expect, but i'm sure someone here could guesstimate.

im pretty positive you cant bore out the upper intake to accept 75mm.
IIRC, my measurements would only allow about a max of 70mm and still have enough material left on the upper intake to allow a proper seal of the TB to the Upper Intake (roughly 3 mm at the smallest point)

in any event, no point in getting a massive TB like that unless you're gonna
get a turbo/super to cram more air in!
i believe the 56mm is ideal, maybe 59...
even with the 62mm u lose the bottom end to get top end.

The site is a nice find but 65mm might be pushing it a little, 75mm to way too big on a N/A V6 engine.
I've seen 80mm TB's on a 5.7 (350) SBC in Camaros, and TA's but on our 3.4 (207) it's not gonna work, unless to do go with a poweradder

Well, for us 4 cyl cars, it's a bit overkill..
most N/A cars pull 200-250+ hp, need more air flow.
for the 6 cyl cars, a bit better with the 65mm, but still kinda big.
It's like putting 3.25" piping for exhaust. Most work effectively with 2.25 or 2.5"

you'll lose a little on the bottom end, but gain a little on the top end. so its really up to you what kind of power curve you prefer.

I just put my 62mm T/B on this morning, and i feel no difference, on bottom or top end, oh well headers are next anyways.

i gotta add this story and ask a question......my boss has a motorcycle and he put a big intake on it, he never noticed but afterwords he was having trouble with how it was idling, when he pulled the choke out out to fatten it up it was helping, he tryed different size jets.......then he thought for a second, bought some tape and wrapped up the top of the cone on the filter, fired it up, and it worked almost perfectly......he realized it was pulling in TOO much air.........
now i never thought this to be possible period as an engine pulls what it needs, are motorcycles different?

In reality a ported TB isn't going to do anything unless you get the manifold ported to match. You're only letting in as much air as your smallest opening will allow.
Let in too much air, it will hurt performance
