Seems the LIMG gasket is a killer on all GM cars... Plus DEXCOOL isnt cool.
I bought my car with 53K on it under a year ago. I drive 50 miles one way to work.
Currently it has 85K on her, 10K on the AMS oil I put in her. Will be doing the filter/quart change this weekend.
Replaced front pads @55K
Replaced air filter with Fram Air Hog
Thinking about new plugs, wires, 02 sensor. I need to squeeze some more mileage out of her.

I bought my car earlier this year near the begining of the summer with 73k on it, I know have 86k on it
78k miles I think one of my rear strut mounts needs to be replaced
79k miles I found out I had the gasket leak... which a local shop could fix for $300 and give me a tune up in the process
80k miles the brake rotors started to warp

Had the car for 3½ years now. Bought it with 185k km on the meter, or 296k miles if you want. Since then I have changed the front hubs, mounted an electrical heater for preheating the engine in the cold Swedish winters and just done normal service. Until now at 377k miles. I have just changed the springs and the front strut bearing assembly, one spindle joint and the battery. I will also need to change the brushes in the generator as it have stopped charging. Unfortunately it seems like hopeless to get new brushes. My mitchell repair's manual says the generator can not be repaired, just swapped and it annoys me to have to buy a new one for 270$ instead of some brushes for 20$. I'd rather spend the extra 250 on guitars...
Oh yes, I need to change the fan resistor and the buttons for the cruise, but that's all I think.

185 000 kilometers = 114 953.671 mi

If it were at 377,000 miles I'd be surprised to see it still actually run.

I didn't mention it above. My Alero is a '99 3.4.
Over all I think the car is better than I expected and with the set of Intrax I recently fitted it behaves like an European. Firm and predictable with improved response.

Any objection to me adding the fact if you have a 2 door and electric drivers seat and EVER attempt to get into the back seat through that door and are not a midget. Then replacing that seat is a given since if you didn't notice that when you bought the car well... You're probably a 3 toed sloth who thought, "damn that's easy..."
